Sara has returned from training in Melbourne with top Hollywood Coach to the Stars, and chatted with Johnno and Jane from 7HO FM - Breakfast With The Stars about the fantastic masterclass. 

Sara trained in the method used by Robert De Niro, Halle Berry, Charlise Theron and more, alongside leads from Crownies, Winners and Losers, McLeod's Daughters and The Slap, and Pia Miranda and Natalie Imbruglia.  A thrill for her to be accepted, and a terrific start to the year!

Local actress, and Academy Director, Sara Cooper has been accepted to train with Hollywood coach to the stars, Ivana Chubbuck. 

Chubbuck, well known for her work with Academy Awards winners such as Halle Berry and Charlize Theron is returning to Australia to coach some of the nation’s best talent. Aussie stars such as Sigrid Thornton, Kat Stewart, Tom Long and Jessica Marais hail Ivana after working with the acting coach in Australia. 

“Ivana’s extraordinary work challenges actors to fully engage with their own life experience” said Thornton. 

Ivana returns to Australia in January for her third annual masterclass hosted by acclaimed acting school, 16th Street Actors Studio, in Melbourne. 

Chubbuck will teach her cutting-edge technique to 32 selected participants. Local Actress Sara Cooper is the first Tasmanian to be selected on the program. 

“We were so impressed by Sara’s dedication – to fly up to Melbourne so we could meet her and see the quality of her work” said Managing Director of 16th Street, Jamie Zamudio.

Sara will work alongside up and coming actor Dimitri Baveas from Acclaimed ABC series, The Slap.
