Weekly Screen Acting Classes: 

Weekly screen acting classes are held throughout school terms for performers in Grade 7 - Adults at Goodwood Film Studios.

In 2011 as well as weekly lessons, students got to meet with one of Australia's top casting agents (Lord of the Rings, Home and Away) from Melbourne, audition for a big budget TV commercial, and more!

All new 2012 students receive a free "Introduction to Screen Acting" workshop worth $90 (held on 4th Feb 2012).

Learn all the tricks and tips you need!

Students work from film and television scripts, plus television commercial scenarios and improvised scenes.  Classes cover the basic technical elements of screen performance, language for working on set and how to adjust your onstage presence for the camera, as well as scene creation, improvisation and drama games to build skills and confidence.

Class Footage.

Students watch their performances via a live television feed and also played back in class.

At the end of each term students' final two weeks of performance footage is uploaded to an online, password protected site which they can access at any time. 

Toolkit Time!

The last two weeks of each term see classes join up to undertake physical comedy and performance training .  A fun, challenging and hilarious exploration of European Theatre styles, this work is extremely valuable in developing as a performer and will add greatly to what students find they can bring to the screen.  

***Toolkit Time is compulsory for a students first term at the Academy and optional after that.
