COOPER SCREEN ACADEMY is committed to helping Tasmanian actors learn the skills and knowledge needed to forge successful professional careers in the entertainment industry.

With the support of Screen Tasmania, the Academy provides professional acting training for Tasmanian performers aged 10 years to adult, including exciting school holiday programs, introductory courses to all corners of the state, and Q&A's and training intensives with interstate industry professionals . Our classes provide the ideal introduction to acting for the screen, as well as a safe and supportive place to pratice your craft.

Based in the rooms and studios of Goodwood Film Studios (home of ABC's Collectors)  Weekly Classes develop students' individual acting skills, focussing on creating effective on screen performances and teaching the basic technical aspects of screen performance.  Students work with film, television and TV commercial scripts and class footage is made available via an online web program.

The in depth CSA Career Course for 16yr olds and up is an annual course packed with information about the professional acting industry.  Students from 2011 on will leave this course with professionally shot footage suitable for editing into a show reel.
